Questions landowners ask
How is my timber priced?
We walk your woods, measure each tree, and give you an exact dollar offer in writing.
Do I need a forester?
That is your choice. Most foresters charge 15% or more of the sale. When you sell directly to us, our price is what you get. Many landowners work with us from start to finish. We walk the woods with you, price the timber on site, and put the terms in a written contract.
How long does it take?
It depends on several things, like the size of the tract, the weather, and our schedule. We will give you a realistic timeline when we walk the woods with you.
What happens to my land afterward?
We harvest with your long-term yield in mind, repair tracks with our own dozer, and can advise on trail systems, timber stand improvement, and wildlife and diversity management. The value we give the first time is what brings us back for the next harvest.
Is there a minimum acreage?
We will look at anything, but about 5 acres is a good starting point.
What area do you cover?
We buy timber within 40 miles of our mill at 2314 Church Rd, Mifflinburg, PA.
